I have extracted the model from the examples of action research plans as it explains the plans for research but no model used mentioned.

1)                  Planning.

The research questions follow ten (10) questions in ‘design (part 2)’.

2)                  Carrying out action plan

It is demonstrated by action research questions starts with “How I …” as reflex to research issues arise. As the research questions developed and the research plan on action, it comes with underpinning values which may relevant to the research.

3)                  Monitoring

It always involves choosing data gathering techniques that appropriate to the research questions. The monitoring process involved the experience of learning, action episodes and critical occurrence that will be recorded in journals, statements by people etc.

4)                  Gather and sorting data

In data gathering, the processes involved the questions of what, where and how. It also involved combination of processes of observing, recording, storing and sorting data.

5)                  Storing data

The analyzed data can generate evidence. After collecting data, gather and sort it into easier form, it can be stored in various ways such as in computers. The physical artifacts can be stored in boxes and try sort it regularly.

6)                  Reflects and revise plan

As research running, reflection always takes part in the cycle. Do revise plan as it goes further for advance action.

Action Research or Research Action?

I don’t know what happen to my yahoo groups!

I did joined the group since my friend (Fairus) forwarded his invitation email to me. I accepted to join this group but strangely, I can’t access to the group since I didn’t received anything according to GB5023.

I don’t know what happen until I try to check my setting. Surprisingly, the setting showed I won’t receive any email from this group. Very bad luck because I just knew the situation today.

Gosh!

Today is my day to post all my notes in MsWord.

I try my best as I can.

WHAT IS ACTION RESEARCH?

Action research is a family of research methods which pursue action and research at the same time. It is commonly use in form of cyclic or spiral process which exchange between action and critical reflection. Later cycle, refining methods, data and interpretation will be done for better understanding developed in the earlier cycles.

It is an evolving process in which individual as researcher will have shapes while understanding increasingly. Action research is as repetitive process which continues towards to improve understanding of what happens in a particular problem.

Usually, action research is carry out in a school. The components of the “research” such as inquiry and discussion can be administered as the action research is one of a reflective process. Often, action research is a two-way activity among colleagues searching for solutions everyday, real problems faced in schools, or looking for ways to improve instruction. Some of the research is only to increases students’ achievement by improving teaching method as well as learning process in classroom. Action research allows teachers or practitioners to deal with those concerns rather than knowing theoretically. They will be responsible to make decision in the school operation as well as for student achievement results.

Introduction

I just started writing in my blog. even my blog built a week before,I still don’t have enough idea to write in my blog.

With a few knowledge and English grammar limitation, I try to do my best to write on my blog.

Action research from what I’ve read and hear, it is an action of ourselves. A research of our action. What are the consequences if we do one particular action.
